Dr. Mohammad Alam
Consultant Paediatrician and Neonatologist
Dr Mohammad Alam is a leading consultant paediatrician and neonatologist, based in London. He has over 25 years of medical experience in several aspects of paediatric care, including children’s food allergies; feeding issues in new-borns; respiratory conditions; asthma in children; childhood Eczema and day to day problems of children and new-born babies.
Dr M Alam graduated from the University of Punjab in Pakistan in 1987. Prior to moving to the UK in 2006, he worked as Assistant Professor of Paediatrics in one of the biggest hospitals in Pakistan for four years. Dr M Alam received higher specialist training within NHS at King’s College Hospital London, Evelina Children’s Hospital London and Lewisham Hospital before assuming the post of Consultant Paediatrician. He became a fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) in 2015, two years after finishing his specialist training. Dr M Alam also completed a Postgraduate Certification in Paediatric Allergy from Imperial College London in 2016.
In addition to his profession as a clinician, Dr M Alam has a strong interest in teaching and training. As well as being a Training Programme Director (TPD) in NHS, he has previously been a College Tutor for RCPCH. He is currently a Clinical Lead within Barts Health NHS Trust and a Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London, School of Medicine and Dentistry.
