After medical school, Dr. Joseph Tomson became a physician in 1999, and his specialist training in Cardiology was in WM Deanery, UK. He obtained his CCT in 2015. He also underwent training in Cardiovascular research, trials, and epidemiology from the University of Oxford and obtained his doctorate.
He is currently a Consultant Cardiologist at the Royal Free London Hospitals and also sees patients privately in London. His areas of interest include Cardiovascular disease, with particular emphasis on disorders relating to cardiac rhythm, cardiac dysfunction, coronary disease, and the prevention of cardiovascular disease.
Dr. Tomson’s specialized interests include cardiac rhythm management, cardiac device therapy, cardiac resynchronization therapy, pacemakers, implantable cardiac defibrillators, heart failure, cardiomyopathies, palpitations, and syncope.
Moreover, he is trained in cardiovascular imaging and partook in cardiovascular studies, which also encompass epidemiology and drug trials. He is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in the UK, has a degree in MRCP, and has been certified as CCDS through IBHRE. He teaches in cardiology to undergraduate students and also takes part in cardiovascular research.
