Mr. Eyal Schechter
ENT Surgeon
Mr. Eyal Schechter has been a consultant in adult and paediatric ENT surgery since 2021, specialising in a wide range of ENT conditions. His areas of expertise include ear-related issues, balance and dizziness disorders, as well as children’s ENT. In addition to his clinical work, he leads the inherited hearing loss and balance/dizziness services at his NHS Trust. Furthermore, he is actively involved in setting up a state-of-the-art balance testing and rehabilitation suite at Bedford Hospital.
Having grown up in Cambridge, Dr Eyal Schechter completed his undergraduate medical training in Manchester. After this, he pursued a basic surgical training programme with a focus on paediatric surgery, followed by specialty registrar training in Otolaryngology across the East of England. His training concluded with an Otology and Implant fellowship at Addenbrookes Hospital, during which he was awarded the COVID Star for his exceptional contributions throughout the pandemic.
Currently, Dr Eyal Schechter performs hundreds of surgeries each year. These include routine procedures such as adenotonsillectomy, grommet insertion, and septoplasty, alongside more advanced operations like eardrum and hearing mechanism repairs, mastoid surgery, and sinus surgery. His comprehensive experience, combined with his leadership roles, makes Dr Eyal Schechter a key figure in advancing ENT care.
