Dr. Ashwin Sridhar
Dr. Ashwin Sridhar completed all his education in India and started his professional life in the medical field with one year of general surgery training. Later, he moved to the UK to continue higher education at Imperial College London, where he was granted the Master of Surgical Technology degree. He completed the Senior House Officer year at East Cheshire NHS Trust, where he earned significant experience in General Surgery, Trauma, Orthopaedics, and Accident and Emergency care.
He then undertook a six-year urology training at UCLH, working in various aspects of urology but particularly those related to cancers of the urinary system. Currently, Dr. Sridhar is an expert in robotic surgery for pelvic cancer and dedicates quite a lot of time sharing this progressive technology with other surgeons. He also collaborates with researchers at UCLH on creating a new program for robotic reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Sridhar strives to continue the betterment of surgical services that ensure the comfort of patients while offering them the best health outcome. His research works are variously published in renowned journals and presented at several national and international conferences. He is committed to improving oncology treatment outcomes, improving patients’ feedback, and making improvements in the quality of care provided to the patients.
Apart from clinical practice and research, Dr. Sridhar has a very strong commitment to teaching and training in medicine. Currently, he attends a Master’s in Clinical Education at UCL, where active engagement of different educational concepts will definitely be continued in service to further improve teaching approaches toward medical students, residents, and newer robotic surgeons.
