When to Take Your Toddler to Urgent Care

Toddlers often experience sudden illnesses and accidents, leaving parents unsure whether urgent care is needed.

When Urgent Care is Appropriate

  • High fever or persistent cough
  • Ear infections and sore throats
  • Vomiting or diarrhoea leading to dehydration
  • Rashes and allergic reactions
  • Minor cuts, bumps, or sprains

When to Go to A&E Instead

Take your toddler to A&E or call 999 if they have:

  • Breathing difficulties
  • A seizure
  • Head injury with loss of consciousness
  • Severe burns or heavy bleeding
