Commitment to achieving Net Zero

Chase Lodge Health is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2040.

Baseline Emissions Footprint

Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

Baseline Year: 2023

Additional Details relating to the Baseline Emissions calculations: Chase Lodge Health Ltd has not previously assessed emissions prior to 2023.

Baseline year emissions:

EMISSIONS TOTAL (tCO2e)
Scope 1 25
Scope 2 30
Scope 3 (Included Sources) 15
Total Emissions 70

Carbon Reduction Projects

Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives

The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented since the 2023 baseline:

  • Transitioned to LED lighting in facilities, reducing electricity usage by 10%.
  • Implemented a waste management policy to reduce land-fill and increase recycling.
  • Promoted remote work options to reduce commuting emissions by 10%.
  • Adopted a policy to reduce paper consumption by 10%.

The carbon emission reduction achieved by these schemes equates to 7 tCO2e, representing a 10% reduction against the 2024 baseline.

Future Carbon Reduction Projects

In the future, we aim to implement further measures such as:

  • Transitioning to an electric/hybrid vehicle fleet, replacing petrol/diesel vehicles.
  • Installing solar panels to generate renewable energy, targeting a 20% reduction in electricity usage.
  • Expanding recycling programs to include all non-clinical waste.
  • Encouraging staff and visitors to use public transportation or carpool, aiming to reduce commuting emissions by an additional 15%.
